Bough this camera on my beach vacation and all the buttons on the back stopped working the first time it was in the water. I took it back and exchanged it the same day. The first time the SECOND camera was in the water the same thing happened. Got my money back. I am not surprised Amazon no longer sells this, it is truly a hunk of junk. The only reason it got one star is because Amazon does not let you give some thing zero stars.
Nice, if you don't use it near water

The first time I used my camera was in a pool. It worked well enough though the images were not nearly as good as my friends canon. nor was the user interface as easy. But it worked and it was a gift.
Second time, same pool same experience. Except the battery barely lasted an hour.
The third time was in the ocean and it did not work at all. Water had somehow made its way into every part of the camera, before i even made it to the water. behind the lens was soaked, Everywhere rendering it useless.
Best of all the Tech Support at Olympus was very helpful. They answered relatively quickly to ask "do you have a receipt?" I answered "No. It was a gift, but I sent in the registration"
WIthout a receipt they could not do anything. Would not do anything. So If you get this, even as a gift, make sure the giftee gets a receipt. |

It is light and pretty, but no matter what we tried, the pictures are sometimes good, but many times blurred, out of focus...
Not waterproof

will post pictures later. We have had only for six months. I have made sure all ports are secure. We got water in the camera. Not sure how water got in the camera since it is suppose to be waterproof. And the warrenty does not cover water damage? This was our first Olympus camera going to stick with canon and nikon.

This camera is great, I wanted a camera for the boat and the beach where I dont have to worry about getting it wet or dropping it, and it does exactly what I wanted. I read about bad delay when taking a picture, but I havent noticed it
